Profile Cora Linehan

Cora Linehan

The best well known voice of File One is Cora Linehan. To her customers Cora is the reliable and knowledgeable expert who takes care of their orders, queries, deliveries in a professional and prompt manor.

But who is she?

Believe it or not Cora has been with File One for almost 20 years and yet still takes to the challenge of ensuring customers are taken care of well, as if she was new to the job.
Cora is originally from Victoria Road, in Cork but now living in the lovely rural setting of Berrings, 13 miles north west of the city. Married to hubby Liam with two young sons Cora has a busy life. Managing both a home life and a full time job, as any woman will tell you takes organising, but Cora is an organised person which is evident to both her colleagues and customers alike.

Secondary schooling for Cora was at the Ursuline convent, Blackrock (one of Cork’s iconic girls schools) where as well as her academic studies she was a regular winner of cookery competitions with her trademark “Dressed Smoked Mackerel” dish. We assume Liam and the boys have benefitted from Cora’s culinary skills. Hockey was Cora’s sport at school but she declines to boast about her achievements on the pitch.

Cora is a graduate of the Cork College of Commerce where she qualified as an accountancy technician. It was those original skills that brought Cora into the File One fold and her disciplined approach to everything she does is very evident.
Cora comes from a family steeped in Cork’s greyhound racing tradition and the Linehan’s are regularly seen in Curraheen Park urging on the O’Reilly dogs.
Both Cora and Liam are ardent GAA supporters and followers of the Inniscarra club in particular.

If you have any stories from Cora’s school days or would like to catch upon old times why not send her an email cora@fileone.ie
