Profile Lorna Robinson

Lorna Robinson

A voice anyone dealing with File One will instantly recognise on the phone, belongs to a team member who cares about every customer. Who has a wide knowledge of the office products industry and enjoys being of service to her customers. That’s Lorna Robinson.

Originally from Mitchelstown in North Cork, Lorna has worked in the office Supplies industry since 1996 joining Terry Kingston and Clodagh Giltinan in Computer Accessories, later renamed Marina Office World. Following their merger with File One in 2005, Lorna brought her knowledge, expertise and warm personality to the larger customer base.

Early education for Lorna was at the now “prestigious” Ballygibblin National School and the Presentation Secondary School in Mitchelstown. Not one to sit and do nothing, Lorna during School holiday's worked in the Cash Office of the local Dairygold Co-op. It was here that her personable and sociable personality came to the fore (Lorna will tell you it was only the love of money has her working). After secondary Lorna added two more years study to her resume at the Cork College of Commerce before entering the workforce full time.

It is evident from the relationship that Lorna has with her customers, that she treats every one she comes in contact with as an individual. Lorna would consider her customers more as friends than people she sells to.

Away from work Lorna is a wife and mother. Married to Tony with a young daughter, Isabelle, Lorna still manages time to indulge in one of her hobbies, eg. singing with The Lismore Choir. Where she is to be seen every Wednesday night in St. Patricks Hall Tallow in the heart of the Alto section.
Lorna hails from a very musical family 3 of which are music teachers. In her youth Lorna was known to “tickle the Ivories” but now “selling office stationery” is her forte.

While we know Lorna will not sing on the phone to her customers, she will always do her utmost to help. So if you have an office products query or need some advise on a purchase why not give Lorna a call.
If you are not a customer of Lorna or File One but remember her from her many lives why not send her an email to say hallo.
